This exhibition takes the visitor to the 15th and 16th century's Europe and examines the economic power of Florence and how the institution of  sponsorship has linked money to the flourishing of the arts as well as the relationship between bankers and artists.
The museums of Vatican, Milan, Venice, Bruges, Rotterdam, the National Gallery of London, the National Library of Paris, Geleria Uffizi have lended paintings by Sandro Botticelli, Beato Angelico, Piero del Pollaiuolo, sculptures from the artist familly of Della Robbia, microsculpture objects, bank documents and Florentine coins (known as florins).
